David Conn, Chef/Owner
Chef Conn has been in Nashville on and off for the last thirty years. His culinary training was in Savannah, Georgia under both Southern and French influenced chefs. He also studied under pastry chef Clarke Roof and trained in Garde Manger as well. After stints as both Saucier and Sous Chef, Conn moved to Chicago to be Executive Chef in Wicker Park. His signature Low Country dishes were well received and very well reviewed.
Music was actually Conn’s first passion in life—he spent 30 years of his life as a classically trained musician. His early times in Nashville were spent as a high school student and recording bassoonist (his first studio gig was at age 14). He also performed often with members of the Nashville Symphony both as a teen and later as a trained professional. Before pursuing cooking professionally, Conn was on the faculty of Cornell University for 10 years--where he conducted orchestras and wind ensembles, lectured in Music Theory, and taught Popular Music Songwriting.
